Concepts is a 2 level, 3000 (1500 a level) square foot retail space located in the heart of Harvard Square in Cambridge, Massachusetts, seconds from Boston. Concepts has been the premier sneaker / skate / and lifestyle boutique since 1996. The store carries a mix of streetwear, premium denim and hard to find sneakers. The store will be moving on September 15th so we got the breakdown on the impressive new space, and what you can expect to find there…..

The upper level (ground floor) will consist of all clothing and footwear, with an accessories case running through the center of the space. The floor will feature custom glass enclosures that will display skate decks and snow boards. Behind the customer service desk we will feature a multi media booth (LRS: Live Retail Space) where we will showcase product and conduct interviews with various culture personalities (artists, musicians, designers, and brand representatives) adding to our customer’s overall shopping experience. This “LRS” will allow us to create partnerships and accurately represent brand vision directly to its customer base.

The lower level is called “Sub Rosa”. Sub Rosa is an ancient latin term used to describe secret societies of yesteryear. The “rose” represents secrecy. When brotherhoods held meetings, they did it under the “rose”, “Sub Rosa”. Being that we are located in the historic Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA, where the secret societies of Harvard University still exist, we decided to dedicate a section of our shop exclusively to our members. Our membership level includes all the comforts of a VIP lounge. Plush leather seating, dim lighting, plasma screens, and bar that compliment the exclusive products created through partnerships with top companies that are only available to Sub Rosa members. Sub Rosa is guaranteed to be the ultimate experience.
