Generic Costume designer, Kevin Carney (who has also worked as a design consultant to such companies as Stussy, Freshjive, Burton, Jeremy Scott and Incase) and his long time friend and business man Brandon Day started working together on The Generic Man. They traveled Europe for months to find the best factories and materials and this is what they came up with. For Fall/Winter 2007, six styles are available in an assortment of colored suedes and solid, metallic, or perforated leathers. Jason Gaines and Andrew Kline incepted TRADITION in 2006. Respectively, the ex-college basketball player and a former straight-edge band member (Strife), met as teenagers in Thousand Oaks, CA. Mess in Beijing is collaborating with New Era on a fitted inspired by China’s rich history to release October 1st. The symbol on the hat represents prosperity, fortune, and luck, and the side symbol (the two circles) is an ancient symbol for money.
