Takashi Murakami is one of Japan’s most celebrated artists in recent history. Murakami is most famous for his work with Louis Vutton (he designed the famous multi-color monogram pattern), he has gained more popularity in the States recently due to his work with Kanye West (he also designed the Graduation album artwork.) he has managed to create a seamless relationship between his artwork, which is highly respected, and commerce , as his paintings, sculptures , and toys often go for prices well into the hundreds of thousands


Supertouchblog ( a dope blog about art), recently noted that his artwork is even being used to enhance the look of popular clips, as one of his paintings appear in the new “Blue Magic” video.
