In An Extraordinary League of His Own
Monday, December 3, 2007 | Author: Jon LedfordDon’t let the embarrassing [click here] 2003 movie of the same name fool you, this new graphic novel, like the previous two in the series, is nothing short of incredible. Written by Allan Moore, who previously brought you books like V for Vendetta and Watchmen, Black Dossier follows a team consisting of some of the greatest fictional heroes of the past in search of a book containing the history and secrets of their elite fraternity, all while attempting to thwart enemies who would see them disbanded and dismembered. Kevin O’Neill (Marshal Law and Nemesis the Warlock) returns with his signature illustrative style which perfectly complements Moore’s dignified storytelling.
Much like the first two books in the series, Black Dossier is accompanied by a Tijuana Bible, a 3-D section (with glasses!), various maps, and other features to help readers truly immerse themselves in the universe of the League. You’ll have to give us a late pass on this one, as The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: The Black Dossier is available in hardcover form at your local comics shop now.
