As if we haven’t seen enough reiteration of the original Air Max lineup over the past few years, Nike is set to release a series of Court Forces inspired by the original Air Max colorways. Cynical as I may be, there is a definite dedication to the concept, rather than taking on the neon green or infrared colors as accents. Original materials are present, as well as details like the gradient on the ‘95 inspired model pictured above. Check out some of the other highlights from this pack below.

5 & A Dime recently got together with Seattle based Flying Coffin to continue their series of collaborative shop logo tees. The shirt incorporates a print of the Flying Coffin logo within the 5 & A Dime namesake. The print creates a striking effect which is rather abstract at a distance but as you get closer the pattern emerges. (more…)

You’ll have to excuse the corny headline, but with the way The Hundreds continues to unleash new product like this new “Tar” New Era cap, I’m running out of ideas here. The bone lettering against a black cap is an obvious reference to the La Brea tar pits out in LA.

Anyone who is anyone is familiar with the Tier 0 Nike Dunk 2008 Be True City Pack. Hong Kong, specifically, is one of the seven chosen cities; the others being – Los Angeles, New York, Sao Paulo, London, Paris and Tokyo – to be included. This is truly an honor and for those who are collectors of shoes, this pack will surely be one to hold on to for a long time to come.

With high heels and paint…cans…(sorry) in tow, Insa has brought his in your face style to Glasgow for an exhibition at Recoat Gallery. Entitled “Buy My Love” the show features the fetishized imagery that Insa has become known for through his work with KidRobot, Nike, and Carhartt, not to mention his past street and gallery exhibitions. The show, sponsored bye Club Violate and Carhartt, opened last Friday to a line waiting at the door. Check out the rest of the article to get a taste of what Insa had up his sleeve.

Two of the biggest names in custom sneaker designs - SBTG and Methamphibian have united to create two striking pairs of New Balance 576s for Leftfoot stores. Dubbed the Heaven & Hell pack, each shoe features the distinctive print designs that both artists have cut their teeth on. While the details may lead you to believe that these are indeed custom designs, they are actually production models designed by the artist and put into production at New Balance. Tomorrow, February 21st Commonwealth, in conjunction with DC Shoes, will release the Gatsby in two colorways. Inspired by the work of renowned American designers Charles and Ray Eames, these sneakers are among the best conceptual releases from DC since their Artist Series work with Kaws and Shepard Fairey. Low key yet striking, this will probably be as close as many of you get to these sneakers as they are sure to go quickly.

I’m a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and was a member of the fraternal order of those who knew the first two movies line for line [Turtles Back in Time was wack]. Recently, one of the highlights from the London Toy Fair was these new NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Action Figures and it’s about time that the TMNT franchise got a decent set of collectible figures.
