STRANGEco officially released the Vivisect Playset to retailers this week. The eight piece minifigure set is curated by Luke Chueh, who also created the Mugs Bunny figure pictured above. While the series only consists of eight figures, there are 7 chase and 5 artist exclusive colorways for a total of 20 figures in the set. We have pictures and details on the artists after the jump.

This is the back of the Mugs Bunny sculpt pictured at the top of the article. These three silver figures are the artist exclusive versions available directly only through Luke Chueh. The same three figures are also done up in a flat grey version as part of the blind box series.

The above figure is the end result of a collaboration between two prominent designer toy artists - Joe Ledbetter and Greg “Craola” Simkins. Appropriately dubbed the Ledkins, the tonal version on the left is the chase figure, while the full color edition is the more readily available regular edition.

The Scurvy Nevil was also created by Craola. Flying solo on this piece, you can get a real sense of his artistic voice between this and the Ledkins figure. Once again, the full color version is more widely available with the tonal edition as the chase. Each figure in this series serves to exemplify animals which exemplify some aspect of humanity. Clearly Scurvy Nevil represents the inner desire in all of us to become a pirate.

The last piece of the Ledbetter-Simkins trifecta is the regal King of the Dedbeets created by Joe Ledbetter. You’ve probably already guessed it, but the full color version is part of the blind box series, and the greyscale figure is an artist exclusive available only through that other JLed.

Amanda Visell brings her trademark style to a three dimensional medium with excellent results. The natural woodgrain version of Baby Eating Crocodile is the chase edition in this pair. It’s pretty nice how the move visually appealing pair seems to be the more accessible figure in this series, for the most part.

You may recognize Thomas Han’s work from the handful of Dunny figures he’s created over the years, not to mention the array of other sculpts he has worked on. The trippy color schemes are quite eye catching. The yellow version in this pair is the chase figure, so you may have to crack open quite a few blind boxes for that one.

Stella and Roo are the work of Pete Gronquist. Amidst such an array of bright colors and heavy hitting names, it may be easy to overlook this design, but I happen to think this is a great sculpt. I’m really psyched to see a multi artist series not being confined to a single canvas and instead allowed the freedom to create a unique figure completely from scratch. The chase this time is the metallic gold figure on the right.

Last up is the eye catching Clean One from Anthony Ausgang. This figure reminds me a little bit of an even more surreal characterization of a Sonic the Hedgehog character. The aqua colorway pictured on the right is the chase edition in this pair. The blind box figures are available now at Atomic Pop for $7.99 apiece.
