Air Max Court Forces
Friday, February 29, 2008 | Author: Jon LedfordAs if we haven’t seen enough reiteration of the original Air Max lineup over the past few years, Nike is set to release a series of Court Forces inspired by the original Air Max colorways. Cynical as I may be, there is a definite dedication to the concept, rather than taking on the neon green or infrared colors as accents. Original materials are present, as well as details like the gradient on the ‘95 inspired model pictured above. Check out some of the other highlights from this pack below.

As much as I love the original Infrared 90’s, these Court Forces seem to fall a little flat. There’s nothing to break up the panels in the back like the air bubble found on the 90’s. The mesh toe is an excellent touch though.

Now these are where it’s at! Inspired by the terminally underrated original women’s Air Max 90, I can only hope these are being made in men’s sizes. My distaste for Miami Vice colors be damned, this is such a solid color scheme that I’ll put that aside for these.

And here’s the dark horse of the series - the Air Max BW inspired Court Force! That unique shade of purple and the weird velvety felt material on the ankle collar really hearkens back to the inspiration and makes for an excellent reinterpretation. The black and white is broken up perfectly by the splashes of color in just the right places. Look for these and the rest of the series to hit American shops before long, as they have already landed in some Japanese accounts.
