What We Wear Is Secret
Thursday, March 6, 2008 | Author: Jon LedfordHow did this slip me by? Grn Apple Tree has worked with The Germs, one of the raddest bands you probably have never heard of, on a new tee to tie in to the band’s upcoming collaboration with Vans. As easy as it might be to mail home the design and ride the coattails of the other side of that X, Grn Apple turns in a really strong design of it’s own. Check out the Vans and the second tee colorway after the jump.

The Germs not only recorded what is arguably the first LA punk rock record, but you might also recognize former members who have spent time in bands like Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, and The Go-Go’s. If you have an opportunity, check out What We Do Is Secret, a film about the band’s incredible history, conveniently titled after their highly influential debut EP. The dude who played the singer is now actually the singer for the reunited band, controversially replacing the iconic Darby Crash, who was lost to suicide all too soon.
On a brighter note, these tees are available online now from Grn Apple Tree. You’ll need the password to place an order, and while I won’t give it away, I will say it will take three guesses tops if you don’t have it already. The Vans Slip-Ons should be available very soon as well.
