Supreme Spring ‘08 - It’s a Wrap!
Wednesday, March 19, 2008 | Author: Jon LedfordSo I lied, there’s one more Supreme post left in me for a while. I promise. I mean it this time. Anyway, this is some more of the outerwear for this spring season. There’s a nice range of more casual/athletic jackets to a few more sophisticated designs. Check em all out below!

This right here is my favorite Supreme jacket this season. The broad stripes are simultaneously very now but timeless all the same. There isn’t a super deep hood, and the cut of this jacket looks nice and beefy. I’m all for form fitting clothing, but not on outwear intended for layering. This reminds me of that period for like 9 months in the 90’s when The Gap was actually speaking to the streets instead of the happy hour crowd. I mean that in a good way. Don’t front like you were above that shit in those days. Maybe now, buy you weren’t that cool (or even born) back then.

While this field jacket is pretty simple, I think the understated design is much better than a goofy print all over it. This thing is also water resistant, making it a good layering piece for a wet spring day when you’re stuck outside waiting in line for a shirt with a goofy print to wear underneath.

These racing jackets throw a bit of much needed color in the outerwear mix. I believe these just popped into Supreme shops and while I could see quality being an issue here, they look great stylistically, with the blue jacket an obvious favorite.

While I can’t say that I’m a fan of the star embroidery all over these baseball jackets, their tonality keeps them from falling off the edge into truly tacky. The stripes at the cuffs and collar are a nice touch, especially on the red jacket. From what I hear, this is dunzo in the shop for the time being. Maybe we’ll see a reshelving later on in the season? Or perhaps this is yet another sign of the times in terms of even cut ‘n sew flying off Supreme shelves.

Maybe it’s just me, or maybe this looks a lot better on your back than on a hanger, but I just don’t get this plaid jacket. I mean yeah, plaids and flannels are making a huge comeback with the whole 90’s resurgence, but this looks straight out of an LL Bean catalog. Count me out on this one.

These coaches jackets round the outerwear out with some interesting color choices. Fit will be a huge issue with these, as many other companies have attempted their own take on this style only to fail miserably with bad button spacing and jackets a mile long. I’m interested in checking these out in person, as that light blue jacket has definitely piqued my interest. Hopefully it’s as muted as the pictures suggest. The crest on the upper left chest is a nice simple touch.
