Blue Collar, Blue Blood
Tuesday, March 25, 2008 | Author: Jon Ledford10 Deep has released an online lookbook for their spring line. The line is themed “Blue Collar, Blue Bloods” and explores the juxtaposition of the working class and a more luxurious lifestyle within streetwear. As one of the older brands within this culture, it’s amazing how 10 Deep continues to stay innovative and relevant both in their graphics and cut ‘n sew design. This lookbook embodies the irreverant, lighthearted spirit of the brand without sacrificing any of it’s edge.

The Victory half-zip seen here in purple is paired with the Bronx Riviera sweats. What other brands do you see doing sweatpants? I mean, I can’t endorse THOSE guys who stroll around college campus in glorified pajamas, but for chilling around the house, relaxing at the park or a barbecue, I promise these will be way more comfortable than some slim fit no leg can’t eat lunch denim.

The Sub Rosa jacket and Fucking Champ crewneck are both great individual pieces. Not sure I’d pair them together like in this photo though. I’m really into the kiwi color used on that crewneck. It’s a nice change of pace from your typical black, purple, black, black, teal, black options typically offered by most companies.

Here you see the Big Buck$ jacket and some slim/straight denim. I’m not into the jacket personally, but that’s just a case of not my style. There are plenty of dudes who will rock that jacket perfectly. As for me, I’ll hold tight until we can get a take on that old Minnesota Timberwolves logo.

Some simple clean pieces can be seen here in the Regatto rain jacket and Classico crewneck. It seems like only yesterday that 10 Deep was pushing their chain link hoodies and leaving many to wonder if the brand would be able to grow up. This picture should answer that well. I mean, from here, this isn’t that far off from classic Polo styling in that dignified yet street savvy way.

Look for all the pieces pictured here at your local 10 Deep retailer. Most stores seem to have gotten their shipments already, and if not, should have them sometime this week. Select pieces are now available at Social Study if your local retailer doesn’t have something you’re looking for.
