So much for all that talk of no retro Jordan releases outside of the Countdown Packs. Air Randy has come through again with some pictures of an interesting upcoming Jordan I. When most people read Military and Jordan in the same sentence, they expect to read about the blue and white IV’s that we know and love, but not so this time. This pair incorporates typical military brown and greens as well as insignia that tie in to that theme.

I’m honestly not sure how I feel about these. I like the color scheme and can even get down with the the stitching on the heel. I’m just not sure that a pair of Jordans are the best canvas for the release. Toss this same concept on a pair of Court Forces and it would go over a lot better. I mean, last I checked, MJ isn’t playing USO exhibition games or anything, so where’s the tie in?

I really do like the canvas that appears to be making up the swoosh though. This pair has potential to grow on me, as the concept is pretty rad. No info as to any sort of release date, availability or price on these just yet. Stay tuned as I’ll be keeping you posted for sure.
