Nike has released this interesting new P-Rod 2 model for April. The shoe features bright yellows and blues and a very interesting rainbow effect on the swoosh. It’s nice to see this kind of experimentation on a shoe other than a Dunk or other retro themed SB model. Check out a couple more pictures after the jump.

These are some pretty nice colors for spring and the black panels provide a good counterweight to the bright colors elsewhere. I’m curious to see the effect on the swoosh in person as well. It’d be rad to see the colors move with light, but I get the impression that isn’t the case.

If you’ve yet to set foot in one of these new P-Rods, do yourself a favor and track down a pair in your size. They’re very comfortable over long periods of time and are nice and flexible as well. The silhouette is way less bulky than the previous model and almost reminds me of what a New Balance skate shoe would look like, mostly because of the sole.

This particular colorway should have arrived in your local skateshop, and if not, will likely be arriving soon. Keep an eye out for these and more interesting P-Rod colorways coming this summer from Nike SB.
