Conspiracy Theories
Sunday, April 6, 2008 | Author: Jon LedfordThe bmx parts and apparel giant Shadow Conspiracy has released offerings from their spring apparel line. The new gear stays in line with the dark graphic imagery suggested by the company name and is highlighted by some well thought out accessories. The chain link shorts pictured above are a personal favorite and almost result in a weird plaid effect. Check out some other pieces below!

These Shadow Conspiracy fitted hats make a great use of the entire hat in their design. I especially like the paint drip effect underneath the brim of the Cursed cap above on the right. It’s just a shame these aren’t New Era caps, as I’ve yet to find a fitted hat that fits as well as a New Era. For those looking for a little more sophistication and/or swing dancing, there is also a very nice fedora hat.

These two tees are among the stronger graphic tee offerings from Shadow Conspiracy this season. The Tie Die shirt on the left is especially bold. I’m a sucker for large prints and horror movie imagery so this one is a no brainer. The detailing on the Rock Your Face Off design is pretty remarkable as well.

The cotton web belt here has some smart distressing which will help to accent the natural wearing in process. The Dagger backpack is quite possibly the highlight of the line though. Thick padding on the straps make for a very comfortable fit, and the chest and waist straps distribute weight evenly across your body rather than isolating it to your lower back, which is great for long rides or extended traveling. There is even a separate tool case and a sleeve for safe storage of your laptop.

Fresh thick socks are something anyone, especially a dedicated rider, can always use. Shadow Conspiracy offers up just that in two lengths. I still can’t quite figure out how branding on the foot of a sock is relevant, but I suppose the same could be said for insoles or deck graphics, so what do I know? In any event, check your local BMX shop or boutique for the line or hit up the good folks at Danscomp to get your hands on the new gear.
