This June, Team Ninja and Microsoft will be unleashing the highly anticipated sequel to the incredibly successful Ninja Gaiden. Seeing a beloved series from my childhood get resurrected is always a dicey situation, but the new Ninja Gaiden series has been a pleasant surprise. Judging by the screenshots we have for you after the jump, the sequel is no slouch either. Check ‘em out!
Apologies for the corny headline but today marks the release of the Huf spring lineup. The past few seasons have seen the brand expand further beyond the traditional hoody/t shirt/cap/sneaker lineup and this season is no exception with some minimally branded jackets and oxfords. Nonetheless, the strongest pieces in the line remain the notorious H New Era caps and clean hoody designs. Check out some highlights after the jump.
The Flying Coffin dudes have recently dropped some shirts exclusively for us internet addicts. Two different designs were created in two colorways each. The Bolts design, pictured above in white, expands upon the Flying Coffin logo with a pretty dope gradient within the encircling stars. Parra is straight blowin’ up to the point that I can’t even keep up anymore. Wrap your head around this one - his clothing company Rockwell got together with the notorious New Yorkers at Alife and Dutch retail icons, Patta to create the RAP. The RAP uses the Alife Everybody Mid as the base model but proceeds to put little tweaks all over the shoe. I can’t say enough about the way Parra blends old and new to create such exciting work, and this release is just another testament to that. Check out some more detailed shots below.
10 Deep has resurrected their Murko mascot for another onslaught on unsuspecting freedom haters. This new figure is dubbed Patriot Murko and stands a stout 5″ tall with an appetite of a man twenty times his size. His star spangled face lets you know who he’s fighting for while those polka dot pants let you know he’s not afraid to let loose either. Like previous Murko releases, this figure will be available in very limited edition at selected retailers. Check out some more images on the other side.
Mishka recently took part in the opening reception for Kaiju Invades NYC at the illustrious Toy Tokyo. As part of the event, they created a special shirt originally slated to only be available at the show itself. But after a crazy amount of requests, Mishka allocated a small number of the shirts to their online shop. Featuring one of the most detailed illustrations I’ve seen on a Mishka shirt, I can understand the demand. I’m a Large if anyone is so inclined!
Supreme updated their online shop not too long ago. Among the new items are the collaborative deks with Marilyn Minter, some Kermit Kubricks, as well as the usual strong headwear, tees, and cut n sew you’ve come to expect from the brand. This particular release was rather quiet, and there are actually still good selections left in many items even now. After dropping their new spring line this past Friday, it appears Dave’s Quality Meat isn’t quite finished. Chris Keeffe recently posted some teaser images from an upcoming collaboration on two pairs of Nike Blazers. Done up in that safari print which has gotten a lot of play recently between the Tech Pack, Air Force, and SB releases, these are a sure fire hit.
The DC/MD/VA area has been blessed recently with a number of stores opening or expanding into the area. You can add yet another name to the list as the boys from Pedestrian have expanded their turf from Philly south of the Mason Dixon into Baltimore. The shop opened quietly this past Saturday with a grand opening event in the works for the near future. I checked things out today and was impressed with the clean look and custom shelving, not to mention the excellent stock list.
Keith Hufnagel has released a preview on his blog of some upcoming Huf sunglasses. There’s not a lot of info beyond the images themselves, but it looks like we can expect at least two styles. The above picture suggests one style will be in a tortoise shell or some kind of brown color scheme with the iconic H placed on the frame near the lens.
