With BMX making it’s debut as an Olympic sport this summer, Nike has rolled out some gear to commemorate the historic event. Brooklyn Projects will be holding the official launch party for the gear and Brookyln Dom has provided some snaps of the product. There’s an excellent cohesive vibe to all of it, but no word as to why Nike opted to associate the line with the SB department.

This jacket and hat combo come in simple effective colors. As nice as the details are on the drawstring, I’d feel pretty weird wearing another sport’s gear at my sport’s debut on the world stage. Maybe there is more at work here that’s yet to be announced but the jacket looks great either way. And let’s face it, most guys not sponsored by Lotek are riding in Dunk SB Mids.

Here’s a tee to sync up with the jacket above. No official word on when the launch party for the BMX stuff will be, but keep an eye out, as there is talk of even more exclusive product being made available at the event.
