So I lied, there’s one more Supreme post left in me for a while. I promise. I mean it this time. Anyway, this is some more of the outerwear for this spring season. There’s a nice range of more casual/athletic jackets to a few more sophisticated designs. Check em all out below!

Supreme For The Grown ‘N Sexy

Rounding out the last bit of Supreme posts for at least a little while here on The Evil Collector, are some of the cut ‘n sew shirts from the spring season. A few years ago, the only Supreme gear really flying off shelves was tees and anything with a box logo. Nowadays, it seems that even some of the hotter cut ‘n sew items can move just as quickly. While I’m psyched to see this culture slowly expand on the jeans and a tee shirt mentality, it’s also making it that much harder to score some of the gear I’m after myself!

Supreme Sells Sweatshirts In Soho

We’re heading down the stretch with my thoughts on the new offerings from the New York icon that is Supreme. You’ve probably already picked up on the early 90’s and nautical themes running through many of the pieces this spring, so it comes as no surprise to see them incorporated into the hoody designs as well. Check out some more detailed images after the jump.

Bakshi And R Crumb For Supreme

Friday, March 14th, 2008

Much like previous seasons, Supreme has enlisted the talents of some notable artists to contribute designs for their spring line. After the success of the tee and hoody series featuring R Crumb last fall, Supreme reached out to the notorious comic artist for some of his distinct lettering on the not so subtle raglan. For even more controversial artist collaborations, check out the rest of the article.

It’s A Bird, It’s A Plane, It’s Supreme!

Late last week Supreme released images of many of the pieces we can expect to see in their spring/summer collection, as well as the first delivery of the line in Supreme shops worldwide. Among the pieces were some interesting bottoms, including the warplane print shorts pictured above. As usual, Supreme maintains an impeccable eye for quality while staying true to their very distinct aesthetic and style. Check out these shorts in greater detail, as well as the new denim, down below.

Putting The LA in La Brea

Friday, February 29th, 2008

You’ll have to excuse the corny headline, but with the way The Hundreds continues to unleash new product like this new “Tar” New Era cap, I’m running out of ideas here. The bone lettering against a black cap is an obvious reference to the La Brea tar pits out in LA.

Anyone who is anyone is familiar with the Tier 0 Nike Dunk 2008 Be True City Pack. Hong Kong, specifically, is one of the seven chosen cities; the others being – Los Angeles, New York, Sao Paulo, London, Paris and Tokyo – to be included. This is truly an honor and for those who are collectors of shoes, this pack will surely be one to hold on to for a long time to come.

The Lovewright Company

I guess any excuse The Evil Collector can come up with to post pictures of boobies is well-appreciated, but the good folks at The Lovewright Company have blessed us with their Spring 2008 collection… So, I guess a little nudity can’t hurt if the product is dope, right? Right?

It’s Better Amongst Friends

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

20080209ffriend_main.jpg

Call me cynical, but I don’t get excited about new brands that often these days. Too many companies hop on the bandwagon of trendy designs without a direction that can at least place their work in a new context from those that paved the way. So it was with much surprise when I initially came across some shots of the first line from Amongst Friends. With the Mugs (left) and Coca (right) tees, it’s very clear that flavor of the season colors and contemporary imagery of the “street” are taking a back seat to a more timeless conceptualization of those same ideas with a serious eye for the details.

Kicking Kashi Flavor

Friday, February 8th, 2008

20080105fkash_main.jpg

Sneakers and jewels have been a part of urban fashion since Hip Hop’s inception, but only recently have the two worlds collided. Alan Kashi, a 26 year-old jeweler, who went from New York to Pittsburgh to make custom jewels had a heavy-hand if not pioneering, in this movement of weaving iced out medallions and Cuban links through laces.

The movement led Kashi to his own manufacturing plant, Kashi Kicks. Approaching 300 styles, many of which sold out, this thriving designer sneaker company has caught attention of everybody from George Clinton to DJ Khaled. Get a sense of this fashion phenomenon and the visionary behind as The Evil Collector kicks it with Kashi.
