File this one under bands who should have broken up a long time ago trying to stay relevant. After a couple really terrible albums that appealed to your chubby goth little sister, Alkaline Trio appear to be opting out of the Hot Topic crowd and moving down the mall to Pac Sun with appearances on The Hills and this new collaboration with Nike’s exxxxxxxxtreme lifestyle 6.0 division for landlocked dudes buying surf gear at a chain store. No confirmation as to whether or not these will be packaged with black nail polish and bottled angst, but check out some more photos below.
Once again back it’s the incredible! Fulfilling the dreams of countless collectors, Nike will be issuing a retro release of the Air Penny II. This shoe has been near the top of my personal Holy Grail list for quite some time. Epitomizing that golden era of 90’s basketball shoes, the shots below suggest that this new release will stay pretty true to the original.
So lately Jordan has teamed up with Nike and been droppin’ these hybrid kicks mixed of Jordans and Air Force 1’s. Here we have the AJ3 fusions in the white cement and the black cement that will be dropping this September for all you kiddies in school just in time for Fall semester. Once in a while, it’s nice to find out about a shoe at it’s actual release. Months of anticipation for a hyped up pair can often lead to either a) a somewhat empty “ok, now what?” feeling when you finally snag your pair or b) the inevitable disappointment of missing out on them due to inflated prices and demand. I’ve long been a champion of the Dunk. Even as it’s become the hip thing to be “soooo over” this shoe, I still feel that it’s been reinvented by so many different groups and is such a perfect designer’s canvas that the shoe will remain relevant much longer than anyone wants to admit. Wow, so images of two amazing pair of Air Maxes have surfaced. The first is the above Air Max 1 done up in the colors of the original Air Safari, and also bearing an eerie resemblance to the Atmos Air Max 1 that seemingly came out ages ago. Inevitably there will be some complaints about a lack of a mesh toe, but honestly, are you really running in these? Your foot doesn’t need to breathe that much dude, sorry.
